After Approval
- It is impossible to say how long it might take for a child to be placed with newly approved carers. This might depend on whether you are foster carers or adoptive parents; also on the age range you have been approved for.
- The period after approval, when waiting for a placement, can be particularly stressful, especially for adopters waiting to be matched with a longed for child.
- You will receive regular/appropriate support from your designated family placement resource worker, and from any other appropriate sources such as support groups and other professionals.
